Hello everyone. I recently filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and I was told that I was not allowed to use my credit cards for 90 days before my filing of Bankruptcy. Now that I filed, am I allowed to use them? Or do I have to wait for the discharge in order to use them? Is there a certain amount of time that I have to wait after I file for BK to use my credit cards? If anyone has experience w/ this, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks!

The reason you couldn’t use your credit cards within 90 days prior to bankruptcy is that you would be presumed to be using them for luxury purchases which would be non-dischargeable during that time frame. Post-petition, you probably won’t be able to use these cards since you have filed a bankruptcy case and the debt on the credit cards will be discharged. The purpose of bankruptcy is to discharge debt and get a fresh start. Using credit cards again will defeat the purpose of your bankruptcy case.

You can submit your issue in the following website and a lawyer will contact you within 24hrs. Don’t worry about their charges, Its only $1/day. So you are getting what you want in just $1. I think this you can afford. Here is the link

    Good luck
